2/24/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: QMHP-C greeted Ben-Nita upon arrival to the home setting. Upon arrival to the home setting, Ben-Nita appeared to be in a positive mood evident by her facial expressions such as a smile on the face. QMHP-C inquired about new behaviors since the last session. Ms. Shabazz reported Ben-Nita continues to engage in the same disrespectful behaviors thinking she needs to have her way all the time and her temper tantrums will get her way. 2. Behavior: Ben-Nita contributed to the session and did not need any redirection from QMHP-C. She discussed with QMHP-C on how her mother just gets on her nerves at times with things she expect her to do and her behavior to change overnight. The client continues to be disrespectful towards her mother. 1. Intervention: QMHP-C began the session by inquiring about Ben-Nitaâs current thoughts, feelings and emotions. QMHP-C engaged Ben-Nita in a therapeutic activity to allow her to follow directions which uses the skill of communication. QMHP-C named at least 2 consequences for not following the directions of the therapeutic discussion. Ben-Nita was asked to relate her responses to everyday life situations. QMHP-C modeled appropriate way to respond to authority figures during challenging situations. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C reviewed communication techniques with Ben-Nita. Ben-Nita was prompted to communicate to QMHP-C in such a way to implement the techniques. QMHP-C named alternative strategies to implement when she is easily frustrated in the home, community, or school setting. QMHP-C emphasized the importance of managing anger across all settings. QMHP-C named several possible outcomes if anger is not managed appropriately. 1. Response: Ben-Nita appeared to be receptive to QMHP-Csâ interventions and services that were provided to her during the session. Ben-Nita demonstrated a nonchalant attitude towards QMHP-C as though he did not care what was being discussed because the QMHP-C interrupted the time that he was having with is neighborhood friend. 2. Response: During the activity, Ben-Nita was able to follow and articulate what QMHP-C was discussing during therapeutic discussion. She explained to QMHP-C that on a daily basis she is trying to show more respect that what she has been; however, it is not going to be an overnight process while also expressing to QMHP-C her mother gets on her nerves with the things she does.
